MGM to Reboot Child’s Play
According to Movieweb, MGM is going to go back to the well and are planning to Child’s Play. Which means they’re not stopping with RoboCop in their rush to remake their most popular titles – likely in an attempt to revitalize their currently defunct studio. There is a script written by original writer Don Mancini, and it appears that Brad Dourif will be reprising his voice role as the killer doll Chucky.

It ain’t gonna happen. According to Cinema Blend, Kick-Ass 2 is dead in the water:

Apollo 18 Movie Abandoned by Studio?
Out of the blue comes word via Deadline that The Weinsteins have buried the film and moved its release date to January 6th 2012. What would make a studio move a movie that is completed back such a long period? I have no clue.
Synopsis: Officially, Apollo 17, launched December 17th, 1972 was the last manned mission to the moon. But a year later, in December of 1973, two American astronauts were sent on a secret mission to the moon funded by the US Department of Defense. What you are about to see is the actual footage which the astronauts captured on that mission.
James Bond 23 to Film in November
Judi Dench, set to reprise her role of M, revealed to The Express that Sam Mendes' production of the as-of-yet-untitled 23rd James Bond film is set for production later this year.
Is Star Trek 2 Really Coming Out in Summer '12?
In a Deadline report about Paramount putting the Chris Pine-led Jack Ryan movie on the back burner to continue working on the script, it mentions that they plan on starting production on Star Trek 2 in the fall in order to keep its June 29, 2012 release.
